One of Monaco’s strengths is its Michelin-starred restaurants: from the famous three-star Louis XV – Alain Ducasse à l’Hôtel de Paris, with cuisine inspired by the Riviera, which highlights local products, flavours and colours, to the Japanese Yoshi, a Michelin star, located inside the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo and which stands out for its zen atmosphere and tasty and refined dishes. passing through the two-star Blue Bay, where Chef Marcel Ravin, originally from the Caribbean, combines the flavors of the Antilles with those of the Mediterranean. And that’s not all: there are 12 starred restaurants in the Principality.

Shopping in haute couture boutiques

Monaco is undoubtedly also an international capital of luxury, and this can be seen in its boutiques and haute couture stores, from the big clothing and accessories brands to those of jewellery and perfumery: in the new One Monte-Carlo district, for example, you can stroll through 24 boutiques of major international brands, such as Chanel, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Fendi, Prada, Céline, Saint Laurent, Cartier and many others. And how about a little shopping at the Monegasque Harrods? The history of the Metropole began in 1980 with the meeting between the Lebanese traveler Nabil Boustany and the Principality of Monaco, with which he fell in love, imagining to create a surprising complex here, in the heart of Monte-Carlo: in 1988 the Metropole Shopping Monte-Carlo was inaugurated, a magical place both for the beauty of its furnishings and architecture and for the treasures it holds. Today it houses 80 boutiques and 6 restaurants, ranging from clothing to accessories, from food to jewelry, from watchmaking to beauty.
