Venice

Venice is the romantic city par excellence: a favorite destination for many couples in love, but it is also a place where art and history can be breathed at every corner. The Serenissima preserves and tells the glories of its past, made up of oriental influences – especially Greek-Byzantine – which have blended perfectly with the most typical styles of the Veneto region, in a unique and unrepeatable artistic combination, which has found its apex in some famous symbolic monuments of the city, such as St. Mark’s Basilica, the Bell Tower and the Doge’s Palace. But art in Venice is also that of Tintoretto’s masterpieces present in the Scuola di San Rocco, or that of the works of modern and contemporary art kept in galleries or exhibited during the Biennale.

To fully enjoy the atmosphere of the city, it is advisable to visit it on foot: only by getting lost in its labyrinth of streets and bridges, in fact, is it possible to explore every corner and be amazed by its hidden treasures, such as small craft shops and the best restaurants where you can taste local specialties.

Florence

Florence is a city with an illustrious past, whose charm has remained unchanged over time. Its Golden Age takes you back to the Renaissance, but it is still one of the most enchanting Italian cities, thanks to its museums, ancient palaces and churches that house some of the most important artistic masterpieces in the world.

The beating heart of Florence is Piazza del Duomo, with the monumental complex of the Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore – dominated by Brunelleschi’s majestic dome – the Baptistery of San Giovanni and Giotto’s Bell Tower. Piazza della Signoria has always been the center of the city’s civil and political life and is home to the Loggia dei Lanzi, the Fountain of Neptune, the Palazzo della Signoria and several imposing statues, including a copy of Michelangelo’s famous David.

Stroll through the streets of the city until you reach the Arno River, cross the Ponte Vecchio and discover the most modern area of Florence: the Oltrarno. Make sure you have enough time to visit the Pitti Palace, with its extensive art collection. And then spend time outdoors: visit the Boboli Gardens or climb to the top of a hill to the Church of San Miniato al Monte to admire a breathtaking view of the whole city.

Rome

Custodian of an extraordinary artistic and cultural heritage, in every corner you can perceive the thousand-year history that has seen it as a protagonist. Ancient but at the same time constantly evolving, with its wonders and its indescribable atmosphere, the Eternal City has bewitched poets, writers, artists and visitors from all over the world.

In Rome, time seems to have stopped: its incredible monuments and archaeological sites transform a simple walk through the streets of the city into an authentic blast from the past, to the time when gladiators fought within the walls of the Colosseum and philosophers wandered around the forum debating the concept of democracy. But there are also numerous testimonies of Baroque Rome, such as the works of two famous artists who dominated the scene in the seventeenth century: Bernini and Borromini.
